Band 8A Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist We are looking for people to apply who have a clear passion to make a difference, are motivated and enthused about working with young people and families. Main Duties of the Job

You will be a qualified psychotherapist with current registration with the

ACP professional body.

You will hold a caseload of young people with complex mental health needs and will take responsibility for providing assessments and therapeutic treatment programmes. About Us

Job Responsibilities

Ongoing opportunities for further training (e.g., Postgraduate study with Reading & Coventry Universities, CYIAPT, EMDR, systemic family therapy, ARFID training). Qualifications

Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by diploma level specialist training, management qualification, or equivalent experience. Relevant qualification or significant experience in the relevant clinical children's field. Maintenance of ACP registration. Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of child development and family functioning. Knowledge of the range of young people's mental health problems and mental health services. Working knowledge of health, social services, education, and the voluntary sector, together with the relevant legislation regarding both children and mental health. Knowledge of key policy and guidance relating to children and young people. Experience

Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical, and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS. Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
