Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Child and Adolescent Therapist based in a Residential home in Telford. The salary for this permanent Child and Adolescent Therapist role is £32,500 - £37,500. Main Duties:

To support the delivery of evidence-based and theoretically informed care, education, and therapy for vulnerable boys in a therapeutic community setting. Specifically, to develop therapeutic relationships with boys to allow effective use of assessment tools, to inform intervention approaches which are regularly reviewed and to feed into live and pro-active approaches to risk management and reduction. To provide a specialist service including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes. Producing formal written reports for internal and external reviews. Providing 1-1 Therapeutic intervention with young people. Supporting staff and other professionals within the residential settings in guiding practice. Facilitating group supervision and group dynamics (for the other site). Engaging in group supervision and group dynamics (at your host site). Involved in the assessment of young people joining the service using a range of appropriate tools, scales, and measures which includes producing impact risk assessments. Support the community in being compliant with CofC standards. Inform individual risk assessments and for this to be a live and dynamic process focused on a positive approach. To provide supervision and consultation as appropriate. Good teamwork skills and flexibility. Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. To contribute to enabling other staff and young people from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a safe, therapeutic environment. To undertake service evaluation, audit, and research. Deliver presentations at external events. To provide local authorities with timely information on our service, working model, evidence base, and associated information as requested from time to time. Support links with other external agencies relevant to the task and develop positive relationships with them. (E.g. colleges, YOS, housing). Maintain awareness of regulatory changes that affect care planning, admissions, and reviewing of progress of placements. To contribute to the delivery of training in specific/identified programmes with other management colleagues. To continue to engage in professional development and wider reading across the sector and practice. To work as an autonomous professional and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work. Any other relevant duties delegated by the Management Team to support operations and care planning in accordance with regulations. Skills:
