Overview Childcare team member. Term time only. Monday - Thursday. 24 hours per week. We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves caring for children, facilitating their development, and ensuring their well-being while providing support to families. Little Owls operates from a cabin at a home setting based in Chiddingfold. Duties Supervise and engage with children in a safe and stimulating environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues regarding children's progress and needs. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime. Drive children to various activities and outings. Maintain a clean and organised space for the children to play and learn. Foster positive relationships with children through leadership and encouragement. Observe children's behaviour and development, documenting any significant changes or concerns. Requirements Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the safety of all children in care. A valid driver's licence for transporting children as needed. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous. Experience working in a nursery/childcare setting is a plus. Leadership qualities to inspire confidence in children and maintain a positive atmosphere. Ability to work proactively and with initiative as part of a small team.
