We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and fostering their development through play and structured learning.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children in a variety of activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment.
Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, including toys and equipment.
Drive children to various activities or appointments as needed (valid driving licence required).
Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff or volunteers in the nursery setting.
Skills
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and parents.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
Leadership qualities to inspire and guide young learners as well as support fellow staff members.
Familiarity with nursery settings and early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
A genuine love for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
