which can be discussed at interview. Must have NVQ3 in Child Care and Education or the willingness to complete the qualification whilst employed. If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week within a childcare setting, you could access this course through the Apprenticeship NI programme. You will be required to have Essential skills in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent (proof required). As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Nursery team in providing a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children aged 2 months - 12 years old. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the Nursery team in delivering the daily care and education of the children. Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care while supporting the health and safety of the children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Building strong relationships with parents and carers. Maintaining accurate records and observations of the children's development. Adhering to the nursery's policies and procedures, including child protection and safeguarding. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children. Undertaking any other duties as required by the Nursery Manager. Prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic and love working with children. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to multitask. A positive and enthusiastic approach to working with children. Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A willingness to learn and undertake further training as required. Please note that this position will require a background check and reference checks.
