THIS POST IS TEMPORARY FOR 1 YEAR HOWEVER CAN BE MADE PERMANENT AS ASSISTANT DEPUTY / ROOM LEADER - PLEASE ENQUIRE.

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Manager to join our team, responsible for the management, development and delivery of child care services, leading a team of professionals to provide nurturing care for children in a safe and stimulating environment in line with DHSSPS minimum standards for children under the age of 12.

Duties

Plan and manage the implementation of a daily routine which addresses the individual needs of children, using a variety of play and learning opportunities.

Manage a staff team and promote a positive team spirit, encouraging staff members to work collaboratively.

Supervise staff members, arrange regular team meetings, and facilitate appraisals as required.

Offer support and supervision to students and volunteers placed in designated settings.

Provide written reports including Social Services case reviews, evaluation and Transition Forms.

Manage a service that works in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring a welcoming environment that supports their role in the care and education of their child(ren), including those with additional needs.

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Manage daily activities and routines in the nursery.

Utilise experience working with children to create engaging and educational experiences.

Implement early childhood education practices.

Drive children to and from activities when required.

Provide leadership and guidance to support the development of young minds.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare is essential.

Level 5 Leadership for Children's Care Learning and Development or working towards Level 5 or equivalent or NVQ III Early Years Care and Education and willing to work towards Level 5 or equivalent.

2 years experience in a formal early years setting in a paid, voluntary or training/placement capacity.

Proficiency in English is required.
