We support families by providing a safe and fun environment for children and young people while their parents/carers attend work, training, or further education. Our clubs offer a wide range of play-based activities that keep the children engaged and happy.

What You’ll Do: Plan and Supervise Activities: Work with other likeminded individuals to plan, create and inspire the children to engage in a wide range of activities and experiences. Set Up Play Spaces: Create magical, inviting play areas to allow the children to be creative and capture their imagination and interests. Encourage Independence: Support children to explore their interests, confidence, self-esteem and life-long skills. Provide Nutritious Snacks: Support children to make healthy snacks that cater to dietary and nutritional needs. Handle Accidents/Incidents: Be the hero in emergencies with your quick response. Assist with Record Keeping: Support the Senior Childcare Practitioner to ensure everything is organised and running smoothly. Join our team where every day is different, full of fun and laughter. If you are someone who: Is fun, engaging, adaptable, enthusiastic about working with children and young people. Has experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting. Is willing to work towards the SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or already holds a suitable qualification. In return you will benefit from: An hourly rate of £12.59 per hour. The ability to gain a formal qualification through our own SVQ Assessor. Access to a wide range of professional learning and training opportunities. Career progression opportunities. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.

If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile.
