We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and experienced practitioner to work all year round in our busy Day Nursery. We offer childcare places to children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years from 8 am to 5 pm. Withernsea Day Nursery is an extremely busy setting, and you would be expected to work at a fast-paced pace and to a high standard. However, you will receive full support from knowledgeable practitioners and coaching from your manager as you settle into a welcoming team. You should hold at least a level 2 childcare qualification and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the parents/carers. You will support a safe and stimulating learning environment for children and their carers and demonstrate a good understanding of how to motivate and engage children with their development and learning. You will need a sound knowledge of how to safeguard children and protect them from harm. You should have experience of supporting parents and an understanding of, and commitment to, working with parents as the first educators of their children. You will act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with our parents/carers, ensuring each child's needs are recognized and met. You will have knowledge and experience of observation, assessment, and planning within the EYFS. You will have good communication and listening skills and the ability to inspire and empower people. You will ensure, as part of a team, that a high-quality enabling environment is maintained.
