We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation who are looking for a Childcare Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based predominantly from home, with 1 day per week in the office in Oxford, and a salary of £45,495 to £52,658 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, with extensive experience dealing with Childcare legal matters within a local authority.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a varied caseload covering a wide range of Childcare legal matters
- Undertaking complex proceedings, including complex advocacy work
- Representing the organisation and supporting the delivery of legal services
- Providing strategic support to Elected Members and Directorate and Corporate teams
- Supporting the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal clients
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities in the best interest of the organisation, escalating issues of concern to the Senior Lawyer and Principal Solicitor
Experience required:
- Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive
- Experience within local government essential
- Strong experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential
