DUCKLINGS DAY NURSERY LTD Stourbridge, DY9 0LB Closes in 9 days (Sunday 26 January at 11:59pm) Apprentice practitioner, responsible for caring for young children, planning activities, their health and hygiene, undertaking training to gain qualification. Hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. Shifts to be confirmed, usually working 4 days per week. 40 hours a week Monday 3 February Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work

You will be: Observing children Planning activities Responsible for their health and well-being and attending to their every need Providing an outstanding standard of care and learning Supporting their personal, social and emotional development Ensuring children have exciting learning opportunities and challenging interactions Communicating effectively with parents Keeping records detailing planning and evidence of progress Safeguarding and looking after the welfare of children, you will have key children Where you’ll work

Early years practitioner (level 2) - Equal to GCSE Your training plan

Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Standard Apprenticeship Qualification: Training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through your course Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 2 qualification English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through the gateway. The requirements are detailed in the current version of the apprenticeship funding rules You will join a well-established team of practitioners, who will help to provide quality coaching and mentoring to achieve all of the requirements needed to achieve your qualification You will receive additional training all paid for by the nursery Requirements

GCSE or equivalent in: Maths & English Language (Grade D/3 or above) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills
