To help and support key workers in their role and support children's activities and hygiene practices whilst following nursery policies and procedures. This nursery is part of a group of 6 nurseries across the West Midlands.
Hours: Monday - Friday between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm. Shifts to be confirmed. 30 hours a week.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work
You will be: Observing children Planning activities Responsible for their health and well-being and attending to their every need Providing outstanding standard of care and learning Supporting their personal, social and emotional development Ensuring children have exciting learning opportunities and challenging interactions Communicating effectively with parents Keeping records detailing planning and evidence of progress Safeguarding and looking after the welfare of children, you will have key children Where you’ll work

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. College or training organisation
DUDLEY COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY Your training course
Early years practitioner (level 2) - Equal to GCSE Your training plan
Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Standard Apprenticeship qualification. Training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required. You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through your course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments or exams depending on the course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week. At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit coursework as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 2 qualification. English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through the gateway. Requirements
GCSE or equivalent in: Maths and English (grade D/3 or above) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills
