Children and Families Leader

Station Hill Baptist Church Chippenham, Wiltshire Job Description The person we are looking for will nurture faith in children (0-11 years), grow continually in their own life of faith, create a fun and safe environment for children, inspire, grow, and lead a team of volunteers who deliver the children’s work, and work with the other leaders to create a culture of welcoming, belonging, and participation for children of all ages. This leader will plan and lead a programme to develop and grow the faith of our children, ensuring that their groups are led with sensitivity to and reliance on the Holy Spirit. They will lead and encourage the Sunday morning children’s group leaders, including developing present leaders and identifying and training new ones. Supporting Toddlers (twice weekly daytime groups) with regular attendance and getting to know the families who attend will be essential. They will also play an active role in the monthly Sunday afternoon Big Family Church team, providing an important link between the church and non-church families. We are a charismatic Baptist church that is learning to be a family as we love and witness to our community. We are seeing the Lord at work among us and are expectant for a deeper and more vital life in the Spirit.
