Are you a dedicated Health Care Assistant, Carer, or someone with valuable life experience looking to use your skills motivated to support our younger patients and their loved ones? If you have the passion to provide comfort and care to our young patients and their families and continue making a difference when it matters the most, we want to hear from you. This is a maternity cover offering 22.5 hours. What You'll Do

Provide patient-centered care and support for children and young people with complex needs. Deliver a high standard of specialist palliative care in partnership with families and other professionals. Work closely with other team members, always acting in the best interest of the child and families. Engage our younger patients in activities catered to meet their needs. Provide an empathetic and supportive presence for families. Manage and understand essential equipment for delivering patient care. Offer an empathetic ear to families, providing pre- and post-bereavement support and referring to appropriate services as needed. Ensure all administration is accurate and up to date to a high standard. What You'll Need

Previous work or personal experience in caring for children with complex health care needs. Health Care qualification NVQ Level 2/3 highly desirable. Great communication skills both written and verbal. Confident working unsupervised with the ability to prioritize shifting workloads. Good interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of safeguarding children. Motivated to develop a career in palliative care.
