Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
NonStop Social Care is currently working with a highly regarded Residential children's service in Pevensey, East Sussex. We are looking for a registered children's home manager to supervise the team and work on compliance matters.
This is a new service; thus, an experienced manager is necessary to register the home with Ofsted. The approach of the service is focused on the quality of care provided to children. Every care plan and all activities inside the home will be optimized for the children and trauma-informed.
The service was opened by a Registered Fostering Manager with over 20 years of experience in fostering and caring for looked-after children. She has strong values and a vision for therapeutic care services and would like to build a home with outstanding results for children and young people, incorporating therapy into practice.
If you are tired of money-oriented residential services and would like to work in a place that genuinely cares for children, then do not hesitate to apply.
The registered children's home manager will have significant support from a house manager, 12 staff members, and a legal person. Expert training will be available for all staff to fully understand trauma and safeguarding. The home has space to care for 3 children who will be under the age of 8 or in primary or infant school. There will be 3 residential childcare workers per shift supervising and safeguarding the home. A multi-disciplinary team will work together to safeguard and build care plans for the children, including teachers, therapists, and psychologists.
Responsibilities
The registered children's home manager will be responsible, together with the Responsible Individual and the House Manager, to oversee the home and ensure Ofsted compliance. The manager will work to get the home registered and be involved in hiring while applying the therapeutic, trauma-informed values of the home.
