Our client is opening a new childcare provision in Bradford and is looking for someone equally as passionate about the care and welfare of children as they are. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to come and join our team who wants to be a part of building something new and having a real say and impact on how the home will be supporting our young people.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Home Manager with excellent leadership skills, knowledge and understanding of the Children’s Home regulations and care standards, and a positive and committed approach to developing the team to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people aged 8 – 18 years.

As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Children’s Home, in line with Children’s Homes Regulations, including the expectations and standards as set out in the home’s Statement of Purpose and Ofsted, promoting the safeguarding of young people’s welfare and ensuring compliance. You will also participate in the on-call roster in support of the Children’s Home.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Manage the residential home on a day-to-day basis ensuring it is compliant with all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people, and liaise with the Responsible Individual regarding any possible non-compliance. Hold responsibility as the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and take lead responsibility for child protection issues in the home. Liaise with other departments and external agencies, in line with Regulation 5 of the children’s homes regulations, to ensure that young people receive appropriate plans, programs, and support in the home to bridge them into the community and meet contractual requirements. Coach, support, and develop staff, including supervision, to maximize their performance and ensure high standards of care, values, ethical standards, equality and diversity, policies and procedures, legislation, and contractual and inspection framework requirements are met. Ability to prioritize, manage workload, and delegate appropriately. Demonstrate good leadership and decision-making skills. Promote equality and value diversity by interpreting equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures and relevant standards. Experience of implementing health and safety policies and procedures. Hold a full UK driving license.

£55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year depending on experience
