Job description Overview Clear Path Care Ltd are an independent, Ofsted regulated, small children's residential home provider with big plans!! We work closely with partner agencies to provide holistic, comprehensive care for our children and to ensure that their needs are fully met. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Home Registered Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children in our NEW residential home near Walsall. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a Children's Residential Care Service, particularly in the Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties sector. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the home delivers high-quality therapeutic care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing leadership and support to the staff team. Responsibilities Responsible for the management of safeguarding children and young people, risk and service governance. Lead and manage the home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training as necessary to enhance their skills. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Monitor outcomes and progress for children in line with their care plans. Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Foster a safe, nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. Work with families, local authorities, health practitioners, education providers, etc. to ensure comprehensive support for each child. Conduct regular assessments of care practices and make improvements to ensure care is being delivered efficiently, effectively, and constantly being developed. Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and staff performance for auditing purposes. Qualifications/Skills NVQ lv5 in Leadership and Management (or willing to work towards). Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Minimum 3 years’ experience working in children’s residential care. Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams in the children's residential care environment. Proven experience in managing a children's residential care home. Strong knowledge of children's residential practices and medication administration. Ability to create and implement effective care plans. Excellent leadership skills to inspire and guide the care team. Proficient in maintaining regulatory standards within a children's residential home environment. Outstanding organisational abilities to manage day-to-day operations effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and staff members.
