About Us Reconstruct (Children and Adult Services) Ltd was established in 1990. Born out of a desire to achieve positive change for children, young people, and vulnerable adults impacted by the social care system. Reconstruct provides a range of services to social care sectors across the UK, including Recruitment, Statutory Services, and Consultancy.

The Role We are recruiting an Independent Visitor Coordinator to join our team in Bristol. We are looking for someone who has experience working with Children and young People and a strong awareness of safeguarding. IV Coordinators aid in the delivery of Reconstructs' independent visitor service, including the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of volunteers who befriend children and young people in the local authority's care.

Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with local authorities and multi-disciplinary teams to identify children who meet the independent visitor criteria;

Recruit volunteers from a wide cross-section of the community, implement appropriate screening procedures that meet both Reconstruct and local authority criteria;

Deliver induction and training programmes to the volunteers;

Maintain a suitable support structure for the volunteers;

Set objectives to enable accurate monitoring and evaluation of both the process and outcomes;

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and monitor and evaluate outcomes and targets;

Give presentations to interested local authority staff groups and others To take a Safeguarding approach in all aspects of the role To liaise with social workers, carers, and other professionals on young people’s behalf
