The School and Role

A specialist all-through school in Hillingdon, West London is looking for a SEN teaching assistant to support young people and children with Severe Learning Disabilities. The school offers day and residential provision to students with a diverse range of needs including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties, and associated speech, language, and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development. Requirements

The desired Children's Mental Health Assistant will: Have a caring, supportive, and nurturing personality Have experience of working with those with social, emotional, or mental health needs Have relevant experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults Be someone who is patient, caring, and adaptable to each young person you will support What we offer
