We are excited to be advertising for 3 Band 6 Children's Senior Occupational Therapists, one based within each locality of East, North and Torbay and South Devon.
The Pathway is a developing integrated pathway within CFHD, providing specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people and their families where the presenting need relates to neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Tics and Tourette Syndrome.
The integrated team will bring together a variety of multi-disciplinary colleagues including Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Systemic Psychotherapy, and Mental Health Practitioners.
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with notable post-qualifying experience, a passion and strengths for working with neurodiverse children, young people and their families.
Main duties of the job
Hold an appropriate caseload and undertake a lead clinician role for children receiving intervention from within the specialist pathway. Undertake specialist assessments, including risk assessments, contribute to care planning and deliver evidence-based interventions in collaboration with children, young people and their carers. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering evidence-based interventions. Provide a range of early help/light touch interventions across pathways such as emotional health and well-being, sensory issues, positive behavioural support. Work across pathways and geographical areas as required, according to need and demand. Supervise, manage and support integrated therapy assistants. Ensure clinical effectiveness through the use of evidence-based interventions, goal-based, collaborative practice and routine outcome measures.

The Integrated Neurodiversity Pathway will provide specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodiversity.
