We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Main duties of the job You will need to have a sound knowledge of assessments and interventions used with these client groups or be able to demonstrate that you have transferable skills from working with adults. You will need to be familiar with report writing and be able to evidence that you have used goal setting and outcome measures within your practice. You should be able to evidence that you have developed skills that may be required to liaise with multidisciplinary teams of health, education, and social care professionals.

Person Specification Training and Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
Current registration with the Health Professions Council
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Experience
Experience of planning and providing clinical care to adults or children and young people with occupational therapy needs.
Experience of working in a variety of settings.
Neurology and rehabilitation experience.
Some post-qualifying experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience of undertaking clinical audit
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ongoing awareness of recent developments in practice and research including NSFs/NICE guidelines
Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
Engaging and empowering approach that seeks to work with others and deliver outcomes in a successful and well-informed manner.
Good knowledge of occupational therapy core skills and processes.
Demonstration of knowledge of child development.
Other
Able to meet the travel requirements of the job.
