Childrens Services About the team This is an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Practitioner to join the Broxbourne Assessment Team for a part-time permanent post. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to build on their experiences of working with children and families within an established and welcoming area assessment team. If you are passionate and committed to supporting children and families to access the right support at the right time, this is the role for you. This is a Hybrid position. About the role Effective screening and support to ensure that families receive the 'Right Response' from the appropriate agency at the highest levels of need without unnecessary delay. Strengthening screening and referral processes of the Specialist Social Care Team to ensure a more timely and proportionate response, ensuring that all contacts receive feedback and are supported in appropriately addressing the needs of children and young people. Identify needs, with management direction and support, to assess the threshold of risk and understanding of the different tiers of service provision. Make full use of a range of computerised systems, gather and accurately record information, and attend regular meetings with the team and professionals. Support Social Workers with tasks and assist with emergency duty tasks. About You Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle Previous experience in working with children and families is required. Ability to work autonomously whilst being a team player. Desirable: A good understanding of developmental trauma. Excellent organisational skills to ensure that work is prioritised and completed within set timescales.
