Childrens Residential Care Worker

As the new Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally strong and driven to make a difference day to day. Most importantly, you will get to really understand our children and their backgrounds, ensuring that their needs are at the center of everything we do. You will be approachable and detail-focused, ensuring that our children's safety is assured at all times, and that all protocols and regulations are fully adhered to. To do this, we believe you will need empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills. The working day can be very unpredictable, and you could find yourself spending the entire morning organizing activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, flexible, and caring people to join our team across the Warrington & Runcorn region to continue improving the lives of the young people within our care. The shift pattern is 16 to 24 hours (including sleep-in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis. Of course, no day is the same here at the Cambian Group; however, here is what a day in the life of one of our Children Residential Care Workers could look like: The young people in our care range between the ages of 8-18 years and have a range of behavioral and emotional needs. Duties:

Delivering the highest quality care for our children Offering guidance, support, and structure to their everyday lives Supporting the young people to engage and access education Promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive living choices Accessing clinically led training to improve your skills and develop practice Household duties Record keeping and report writing Days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming) Contacts, visits, key work meetings, and therapy sessions Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions Desirable but not essential qualifications include: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare Previous experience working in a therapeutic environment or therapeutic qualifications Experience supporting and leading educational engagement Previous leadership skills and qualifications Higher level training and qualifications
