Permanent, full-time. About the role: We’re looking for Children’s Residential Care Workers to join our team and play a key part in supporting children who have experienced significant trauma. From cooking and cinema trips to arts and crafts, you'll help children build healthy relationships and discover the benefits of education. Responsibilities: Provide practical day-to-day care of children. Plan cultural, physical, recreational and educational activities. Monitor the care and treatment of your assigned children. Provide creative and effective care planning. Build appropriate therapeutic relationships with the children. Develop your understanding of therapeutic childcare practice. Benefits: 50 days’ holiday per year. Sleep-in allowances (up to £6,000 annually). Paid overtime. Salary above sector average. Formal and informal wellbeing support. Shift Patterns: Shift patterns are set a term in advance. 40 hours per week over 7 days, between 8 am – 10 pm. 1-2 sleep-ins per week, with rotated sleep-ins on the weekend. Sleep-ins take place from 10 pm – 8 am. These hours are paid as overtime.
