ASAP About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager, or a Deputy Manager seeking to progress their career, to lead a Children’s Residential Care Home in Swanley, Kent. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment for the young people in your care. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and maintaining high-quality care, guiding a dedicated team, and ensuring the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, fostering a supportive and family-oriented environment where they can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a Children’s Residential Care Home, ensuring full compliance with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted regulations. Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the specific needs of each child in your care. Supervise, support, and mentor staff to ensure high standards of care and adherence to safeguarding protocols. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding care. Maintain and drive performance to achieve and sustain a "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted rating. Ensure the home’s policies and procedures are followed to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people. Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting. Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a children’s residential care environment. A full, clean UK driving licence. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
