Participation Practitioner - Children's Services

NJC Scale 6 - 29.6 hours per week

£30,559 - £32,654 per annum

Telford and Wrekin's Children’s Services have been judged to be outstanding for the second time! We are incredibly proud of our achievements to date and continue to ensure that the voice of children and families remains at the heart of all that we do. We pride ourselves on our focus on Family First and relational practice and hold respectful practice at the centre of all we do.

Our Participation Practitioner will work to support and empower children, young people, parents, families, and carers to have a voice about the decisions that affect them. This includes working alongside professionals to design, develop, and improve services. They will also work alongside colleagues in the development of policy and practice to ensure that the voice of those we support is kept at the centre of children’s services.

This officer will work with children, young people, parents, families, and carers to develop their active participation in the work of Telford and Wrekin’s services. Additionally, they will represent the views of those supported at meetings with council staff, elected members, and partner agencies.

They will be tasked with the design of participation groups, surveys, and schemes of direct work which maximise the potential for engagement with Children’s Services.

This is a really exciting role for making a real difference in shaping approaches to practice and learning. If you are interested and think this sounds like the perfect role for you, then please do get in touch.
