Are you a passionate advocate for children? If so, then this is the job for you. The Children’s Safeguarding Team shares that passion. We offer a Safeguarding service for children from birth to 18 years, providing guidance, supervision & training to all staff at UHSussex. Daily duties will involve managing safeguarding concerns & referrals, advocating for vulnerable children in contact with the Trust. You will collaborate with local Safeguarding Partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for these children. Main duties of the job
To communicate effectively with children and families To have responsibility for the scrutiny of all paediatric attendances to the hospital urgent care settings (Emergency Department and wards) To undertake liaison with health care professionals and partner agencies and maintain effective processes To escalate concerns in accordance with the trust and multi-agency guidance To participate in the organisation and delivery of safeguarding training for clinical and non-clinical staff across the Trust To support the Named Nurse and wider team members in issues relating to safeguarding children To foster and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to safeguarding children Important information for applicants
