Permanent About this opportunity A great opportunity has arisen to join the newly forming Westmorland and Furness Safeguarding Children Partnership as its Partnership Manager. The Westmorland and Furness Safeguarding Children Partnership provides strategic leadership, direction and governance for the delivery of statutory and local requirements for the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements for Children in Westmorland and Furness. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, positive and skilled professional with substantial experience of services provided to children and families to take forward the priorities of the Partnerships, to help achieve the best possible outcomes for our children, young people and families. The purpose of this role is to direct, co-ordinate and manage the work of Safeguarding Children Partnership (SCP). The SCP is responsible for co-ordinating the work of local agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children within the local authority area and ensuring the effectiveness of that work. To ensure a collaborative multi-agency approach to the business of the SCP – specifically planning, policy and procedure development, safeguarding practice reviews, quality assurance and performance management. Who we are looking for… You will have extensive experience of working within a multi-agency setting and be confident working with officers at all levels on strategic priorities. You will be able to produce written reports to a high standard. You will be able to influence strategic partners and forge effective relationships across partnerships to develop effective safeguarding arrangements throughout the Westmorland and Furness area. You will work closely with the partnership scrutineer and key partner strategic safeguarding leads and the chairs of the partnership sub groups. You will manage the partnership business unit directing their work to ensure smooth running of all partnership activities. You will attend relevant national and regional groups to promote and develop the work of the partnership. What can we offer you!
