is a multi-agency network of organisations that either provide early intervention services or work with families who need early intervention services. The network accepts referrals for families who need early intervention family support and uses their knowledge of local service providers and the Family Support Database (the NI wide database) at

to signpost families with specific needs to appropriate services. The Early Intervention Family Support service
aims to help children and their families work together at an early stage to explore solutions and prevent more long term problems from arising. The project works with children 0-17yrs and their families. The project hopes to achieve better outcomes for children and young people through: Building on the strengths of families Promoting parenting skills and increasing parents' ability to nurture successfully Developing the resilience of children and young people Enabling families to use community resources and facilities The project offers the following services based on assessed needs: Individual and group work for parents and children Home based support for parents Outreach community work in a range of urban and rural settings Family Group Conferencing A bit about the role We have 2 positions available, both are full time for a year. One position is for a Children's Services Practitioner who will be working in the community delivering interventions and assessing need. The other is for a Family Support Hub Coordinator whose main role will be signposting families to organisations who can assist them. How you'll help to create brighter futures Working to improve the co-ordination of early intervention family support services by creating a collaborative network of community, voluntary and statutory providers. Improving awareness of early intervention family support services. Assessing the level of unmet need for early intervention family support services and informing the relevant outcomes Group. Working in partnership with Hub Partners and other agencies building relationships and maintaining them. Co-ordinating meetings and forums regularly and chairing meetings. Let's talk about you As a Family Support Practitioner/Children's Services Practitioner you'll ideally have: A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health, Social Care or Youth Work. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong IT skills. The ability to work with multi-agency partners in safeguarding situations. The ability to understand and assess risk of the client group. Experience of delivering support to children and families in their own home, especially for the Children's Services Practitioner position. Knowledge of support services in the area, especially for the Family Support Hub Coordinator position. Access to a car with business insurance. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act. A willingness to undergo an Access NI check.
