The following is essential criteria: Degree in Social Work SWE Registration Right to work within the UK About the Role: Halton Borough Council is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join our Child in Need / Child Protection Team. This is a pivotal role where you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and supporting families in need. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, development, and well-being of vulnerable children while working within a multi-agency framework. Key Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases. Undertake timely assessments and produce clear, evidence-based plans to support children and their families. Carry out child protection investigations and attend Child Protection Conferences. Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions. Prepare and present reports for court proceedings as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in accordance with statutory requirements. Ensure timely and appropriate action is taken to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Essential Requirements: A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Previous experience working in a Child in Need or Child Protection role. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
