The following is essential criteria: Degree in Social Work SWE Registration Right to work within the UK Halton Borough Council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join its Duty and Assessment Team, based in the Halton area. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £45.34 and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker looking for a challenging and rewarding position within a supportive team environment. Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments. Manage a varied caseload of children and families in need of support. Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children. Undertake home visits, build rapport with families, and ensure that appropriate interventions are put in place. Produce high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes. Respond swiftly to referrals, assessing risk and need to ensure timely and effective interventions. Requirements

Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience within a Duty and Assessment team or similar front-line social work. Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and social work legislation. Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively while maintaining high-quality practice standards. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Car for work purposes. Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP. What’s on offer for the Social Worker
