Children’s Social Worker

We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join an Independent Reviewing Office team. This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience. About the team The team reviews the cases of children who are looked after and monitors the process of the plans which the families follow. Attending CLA reviews and Child Protection Conferences are part of their role to ensure the children and families' needs are being met. Part of the role also consists of reviewing the outcomes of children who are looked after in foster placements, adoptive placements, and residential establishments. About you A degree in Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years' experience is required to be deemed suitable for this role. You need to have experience in Child Protection Conferences and experience as an IRO. You need to monitor the performance of the local authority in relation to the child, participate in reviews of the child's case, and ensure the wishes and feelings of a child are given due consideration. A clean full driving license and access to a car is a necessity.
