I have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Residential Child Care Worker to join an Ofsted good rated children's residential team near Swansea. I am looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, understanding, and has a passion for supporting and working with children. The main duties of the role will include:

Committed to the provision of high standards of care at all times. Willingness to work with a wide range of presenting needs of the children. Maintain effective care practice to ensure the children are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment with a therapeutic underpinning. Be a good role model, able to demonstrate effective practice and appropriate relationships. Confident in supporting colleagues in responding to the varied, unique, and collective needs of the children. Follow clear direction and guidance, working as part of a team to function at the highest possible level. Support the home in attaining its legislative requirements. Ability to be resilient, solution-focused, motivating, and insightful of the children to contribute to their successful outcomes. Flexibility and creative approaches to working, including commitment to a flexible work pattern with regular sleep-ins and weekends.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Residential Child Care Worker, you will have the following:

Must have a passion to work with children. QCF Level 3 Children & Young People (or equivalent) or Health & Social Care, or be willing to work towards. Flexibility and understanding is a must, as the service is open all year round and willingness to work sleep-in shifts. Must have an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Driving licence.
