Choir Manager (Brighton)

The Choir with No Name runs choirs and builds joyful singing communities with people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation, around the UK. Our Brighton choir is proudly partnered with BHT Sussex. This is an exciting and varied role working 20 hours a week with our choir director, members, and volunteers to support the safe and inclusive running of weekly rehearsals. You do not need any experience of running a choir or leading musically as this is not the role, but a love for music is important. You will need to be available to attend Monday night rehearsals in Hove and ideally have experience working with adults who have experienced homelessness or been through hard times. We are looking for someone with impeccable organisational skills and the ability to multitask, as well as the ability to take a creative approach to delivering inclusive group activities. Experience in volunteer and project/event management is desirable as is the love of music and an understanding and commitment to the positive impact of singing and eating together. This role sits with our partners at BHT Sussex. Salary is £28,926 at full time equivalent (pro rata). Person Specification:

Highly motivated self-starter with initiative to make things happen. Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of working with people who have experienced complex trauma. Ability to act calmly and decisively in emergencies, and to work positively with everyone. Digitally literate (e.g. Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, social media).
