The City of Leicester Swimming Club (COLSC) based in Leicestershire is seeking to appoint an additional Swimming Coach to add to our already successful coaching team. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Performance Pathway Programme which coaches swimmers from County to International. COLSC is the nominated pathway for performance swimming within Leicestershire and has the full support of Leicestershire Amateur Swimming Association. In recent years COLSC has had swimmers selected for European Youth Olympics, Youth Commonwealth, European and World Junior teams and produced British Age Group Champions and Record holders. Our Coaching staff are also selected to coach at all levels of the Swim England Development Pathway. The club is fully committed to supporting its coaches' development with the Head Coach completing the Swim England Coach 2024 programme and Youth Coaches completing the Swim England Coach Development programme (2018-2020). The successful person would ideally be able to demonstrate experience of working within a successful swimming development programme and have a proven track record of coaching swimming to Regional/National levels. Essential skills required: Good time-management skills and the ability to use time efficiently and effectively. Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate the training programme under the guidance of the Head Coach. Ability to liaise with the Head Coach regarding all matters relevant to the swimming programme. Swimmer-focused with the ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to all swimmers, creating a supportive environment where swimmers are fully engaged and motivated, whilst maintaining a professional relationship. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and dedication to contributing towards the continuing success of the programme. Effective communication skills with all stakeholders - parents, coaches, the Committee, and other swimming professionals.
