My client is a growing multi-disciplinary Consultancy with an expanding presence in the North East. Due to a recent project win, their Newcastle office is looking to hire a Civils Technician to work on several new and exciting developments.
The role will ideally suit a HND graduate who has experience using AutoCAD/Civil in a professional capacity and is looking for a career within Civil Engineering, particularly in the design of Roads and Drainage schemes.
You will have a Certificate in HND/HNC Civil Engineering and be or near a qualified Engineering Technician (EngTech) with a minimum of 8 years of solid experience on Infrastructure Development Projects. It is essential that you are fully conversant with industry-standard design software packages such as AutoCAD, AutoTrack, and Civil 3D, along with a good understanding of Navisworks, Revit, and MicroDrainage. Experience in 3D Pipework and surface modelling in Civil 3D and the use of Navisworks is required, as well as being fully conversant with Civil Engineering standards, Sewers for Adoption, and Building Regulations.
The role will focus on draughting designs produced while working alongside Civil Engineers for highways and drainage developments that comply with Section 38s, 104s, and 278s of the NRSWA.
This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers in one of the area's best Consultancies. You will be involved in assisting in the preparation of drainage drawings for Residential and Retail developments in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You will also assist with the presentation of General Arrangement drawings, site visits, and general administrative work.
