Senior and Principal Engineers

for our client based in

Bristol . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to further their career in the industry. This is a new office within a well-established consultancy that is looking to organically grow. You would be an integral number two to the Director, helping to facilitate that growth. Genuine work-life balance environment, hybrid role with 3 days in the office (flexible to which). Salary range of £40,000 to £60,000, experience depending. Birthday off every year. Automatically enrolled onto Aviva DigiCare. 23 days holiday + bank holidays. Role Description Proven ability to manage clients, projects, and commercials. Experience liaising with Local Planning Authorities. Capable of taking the reins on projects and progressing into leadership roles. Help guide and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and experience. Oversee designs to ensure they meet standards, regulations, and client needs. Manage resources, schedules, and deliverables to keep projects running smoothly. Build strong relationships with clients and external contacts like contractors and councils. Ensure work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards. Check and review project work to maintain high quality and resolve issues early. Support bids and tenders with technical input and cost estimates. Look for opportunities to grow the business through new projects or relationships. What we need from you Ideally 5+ years UK experience in a senior role. Ideally 6+ years UK experience with experience in a principal position. Highway design experience, dealing with Section 278 / 38. Drainage design, dealing with Section 104. Previous experience managing clients and expectations. Experience dealing with local planning authorities. To reiterate, this is a great position for someone who is hungry to develop their career and gain exposure to elements of their role that they may not experience in a traditional position.
