CIVIL ENGINEER Our clients are embarking on one of the most ambitious industrial transformations of our time, and are looking for experienced civil engineers to join the team. This is your chance to be part of the construction phase of a large and complex industrial project, shaping the future of sustainable steelmaking. What You ll Do As a Civil Engineer, you ll play a key role in delivering works contracts within a major construction project. Working alongside a dedicated Construction Management team, you ll act as Project Manager, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met. From reviewing designs and managing construction programmes to collaborating with contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, you ll be involved in every stage of the project. You ll also manage budgets, coordinate site works, and work collaboratively to solve challenges and deliver on ambitious objectives. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced, impactful environment, with responsibilities that include: Reviewing designs and drawings to ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness. Managing commercial construction contracts, with a focus on NEC contracts. Planning, coordinating, and supervising site works to ensure timely and safe execution. Using tools like BIM systems to review and optimize project documentation. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. What You ll Need We re looking for a Civil Engineer who s ready to make an impact. Essential Requirements: HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification). Experience in reviewing civil engineering drawings and managing construction contracts. A strong understanding of health and safety in construction. Proven experience managing costs, budgets, and quality on-site. A UK/EEC driving licence. Desirable Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Chartered membership (or working towards it) with a relevant professional body. Experience in industrial or heavy civil engineering projects. Familiarity with NEC contracts and BIM systems like BIM360 or ACC.
