The ideal candidate will be able to use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects within the civils sector. Current projects include Highways, Drainage, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food, and Energy. As an established Engineer within the civils team, your primary focus will be to undertake civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions. You will be expected to maintain high technical standards and build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues. You will be required to plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand, and help to prioritise project delivery. Required for the position: To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: You should be proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an engaging team player. A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage). Ideally 1 to 3 years post-graduate experience in civil & structural engineering, working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body. Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Some experience in Civil 3D and/or Microdrainage. A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations. Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members. Full UK driving licence.
