About this Apprenticeship opportunity: We are excited to be looking for a Geotechnical Engineering Apprentice in our Birmingham office. You will work towards achieving a Level 6 qualification at the University of Warwick. Recognised throughout the industry as a benchmark of good practice, our Early Careers Programmes offer a structured approach to Continuous Professional Development. You’ll learn technical, behavioural, and business skills to set you up for a successful career. As a member of the Jacobs Apprenticeship community, a mentor will support you with your learning as well as opportunities to network across Jacobs. About the opportunity: Jacobs is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical and management services, offering a full spectrum of consultancy support to commercial, government, and industrial clients. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists, providing support and advice to the wider Jacobs business and clients. Here's what you'll need: A minimum of 120 UCAS points or equivalent required. Typically at least three A levels at grades A*-C including Mathematics and Physical Science or their equivalent, or will have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Civil Engineering Technician and hold two distinctions for a BTEC National Diploma in Civil Engineering or related studies. GCSE grade C in Maths and English required. A flexible and proactive self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills. The ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study priorities. Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems. Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements. You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
