FI Construction are currently looking to add to their team a skilled Civil Engineering Designer, to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The role will involve producing directly the in house design of all civils design works for our self delivery Construction business FI Construction. There may be some management of third party consults to deliver these overall in house designs. This is a very hands-on design role so experience of collaborative working with a contractor is critical. Role is based at our Head Office in Chorley working across our North West regional sites. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Produce the Civil Engineering design in house for FI Construction Produce monthly progress reports and present to the senior team Procure and provide civils designs for projects in accordance with relevant design standards and codes Interface and management of civils sub-consultants and specialist supply chain Ensure the provision of high-quality Engineering services Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures Qualifications & Experience Required: Extensive Drainage experience Extensive cut and fill design experience Experience developing Suds strategies for major developments A degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent Working knowledge of design software Experience with current UK design standards and working practices Good communication skills, both verbal and written Benefits: Monday to Friday, no weekends Employee Assistance Programme Company Pension Scheme Company events Free parking on site Modern offices Great transportation links Join our team as a Civil Engineering Designer to contribute your expertise to exciting projects in the field of civil engineering.
