If you are interested in moving into Lecturing or a newly qualified teacher - with a passion to pass your expertise on to others, or already a motivated Civil Engineering Lecturer, looking for the right career move, then this will be of interest. Applicants should have a broad range of industry experience and possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject. It would be desirable if the candidate had digital skills such as AutoCAD or Revit, but this is not essential. We are looking for excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to teach and enthuse 14-19 year old learners and adults. A significantly high level of communication, teamwork, and organisational skills are essential for effective liaison with learners to successfully complete the course. Applicants should have the knowledge and be able to deliver from Level 2 to Level 5 in a range of units. The College reserves the right to interview for this post should we receive suitable candidates prior to the closing date. The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. Attention all eligible FE teachers! Are you looking to level up your career and earn more while teaching specific courses? You may be eligible to claim a levelling-up premium payment for teaching courses in building and construction, chemistry, computing, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics. The payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on your provider and the number of hours you teach. If you're in your first 5 years of teaching in FE and spend at least half of your hours teaching eligible FE courses at level 3 or below, you may be eligible.
