Job Description

Use your power for a sustainable nuclear future.

You might know us for the great work we do across our wide variety of projects. We're proud to say it's thanks to our people's diversity of thought, expertise, and knowledge. When you join us, you'll be a part of this genuinely collaborative environment, where everyone's voice is valued and treated equally.

We're passionate about what we do, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Simply put, this is a great place to be. So, when it comes to your life outside of work, ask us about our flexible and remote working policies designed to help you get the most out of life.

Join our Nuclear & Power Division as a Civil Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role, creating spaces and places that matter. The Civil Engineering Manager is responsible for the civil engineering package of works for a given project, including budget, programme, and safety.

Your purpose: You will be based in our Bristol or Epsom office and will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing our track record and reputation for top quality engineering. You will become part of an integrated multi-disciplined team shaping the future of the Energy industry by delivering world-class projects. We're specifically recruiting as our portfolio on the Sizewell C, SMRs, HPC, and UKEA projects is increasing. The ever-changing conditions of the energy industry mean we need individuals who can adapt, change, and thrive in dynamic environments, focusing on inclusivity, well-being, and flexible working. Our culture, projects, technical support, and delivery systems will provide you with all you need to bring your best on a domestic and world stage.

What you can bring: To be successful in this role, you should be a chartered engineer with demonstrable technical knowledge and experience within civil and structural engineering design and construction. You will have experience working with large-scale projects and will be comfortable making engineering-based decisions with significant impacts on engineering risk. Strong commercial acumen and a firm grasp of the context and implications of engineering activities and decisions will also be necessary. Varying degrees of relevant experience and skillsets will be considered for the role. You will display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possess an innovative mindset, and have the capacity to deliver high-quality work consistently in a demanding environment. Mobility and agile working between our offices and client sites is encouraged to ensure a collaborative approach.
