37 hours per week - Monday to Friday - Hybrid with time split between home, the office and occasional visits to live construction sites. As a Senior Technician (Structures), you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, maintenance, and improvement of structural design, ensuring that all projects are executed within the allocated budgets and timelines. You will collaborate closely with contractors, external stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for structural challenges. You will bring your expertise in project management, system design, and various software tools such as Revit and AutoCAD. Initial work will involve reviewing existing BIM Models and updating these with construction information to an as-built status. Key Responsibilities: Prepare technical design drawings, models, and contract documents for structural projects. Ensure efficient implementation of maintenance, improvement, and construction projects within established programs and budgets. Proven experience in structural design and drafting, particularly in highways and road infrastructure projects. Collect, assess, and impart critical project information to facilitate successful planning and implementation. Collaborate with contractors and relevant stakeholders to provide solutions to construction challenges. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and assist in identifying and resolving issues. Prepare cost estimates to support budget assessment and monitoring activities. Integrate Health and Safety and sustainability considerations into the design and project execution process. Required Qualifications and Experience: RQF Level 4 in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in the design and construction of structural, geotechnical, or civil engineering projects. Competent in the preparation of structural and geotechnical maintenance or improvement, including the production of detailed drawings and schedules. Competent user of CAD software (REVIT, Civil 3D, MX, AutoCAD, etc.) and structural design software (LUSAS, etc.).
