Main Responsibilities and Key Outcomes

As the

Civil / Fencing Supervisor , you will be reporting directly into the Project Manager. You will be working on a portfolio of projects at various stages of delivery, ensuring that project timescales, health & safety, and standards are delivered first time, every time. You will ensure risks are managed and that the project outcomes are met. This will involve working closely with the Project Manager to assist decision making whilst supervising teams of civil and fencing operatives over multiple sites/projects. This is a full-time opportunity based on Sizewell Power Station office with travel required to other sites. Key Responsibilities

Control of work on site and implementing/maintaining effective Service Delivery/Quality/Health & Safety and Environmental controls. Supervising the day-to-day activities on site under the instruction of the Project/Site Manager. Deliver Setting to Work/Pre Job-Briefs and Toolbox Talks and any other information as instructed. Issuing of Permits to Work where there is increased safety or environmental risks. Ensuring site activities comply with company procedures, risk assessments, and method statements and that records are retained in accordance with the planned requirements. Notifying Project/Site Manager immediately in the event of a Health & Safety or Environmental accident or near miss. Ensuring that any environmental incident is cleaned up/contained and reported immediately to the Project/Site Manager. Experience and capability in supervising the delivery of projects composed of large project teams with multiple elements on a cross discipline and/or multi supplier basis. Brings this knowledge to bear to ensure best practice across projects. Supervision of all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality, Resourcing, and Plan Delivery of all elements of the Projects. Provide information to assist with the Commercial/Estimating Process. Ensuring records are kept in accordance with Company guidelines. Ensuring the manpower levels are sufficient for the project. Contributing to the implementation of new concepts and techniques. Ensuring documented management procedures are implemented across all sites/projects. Capabilities to Fulfill the Role:

Knowledge

A proven track record in a responsible supervisory role with demonstrable success in supervising projects and people to a successful outcome. Experience of supervising civil and fencing operations/projects. Experience of motivating teams and nurturing talent. A proactive approach with determination to succeed and a positive attitude that aligns with Dalkia’s core values. Skills

Must have demonstrated effective multitasking and operational supervisory skills. Must have strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Experienced in supervising performance, giving feedback, and agreeing targets. Self-motivated with excellent time and priority management. Excellent people skills and IT literacy. Behaviour & Attitude

Candidate would need to bring a can-do attitude and a focus on standards. Can generate a sense of urgency and importance – demanding of others. Remains calm under pressure. Keen to continue learning and developing their skillset, having a growth mindset. Educational Qualification Required (Preferred):

City & Guilds or NVQ. CSCS – Supervisor. SSSTS/IOSH. You will be required to complete EDF/Dalkia supervisor training, including but not limited to, Level 3 Field Supervision, Nominated Competent Person. Previous Work Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience within Power/Oil & Gas/Pharmaceutical Industry. Nuclear Experience Preferred.
