The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to join our dedicated team and provide legal advice, assistance, and representation to client departments and partner organisations in relation to civil litigation and enforcement matters.
Key requirements
You will be responsible for dealing with Housing Disrepair claims brought against the Council and will work closely with the Housing Property Services team. You will also advise in relation to general civil litigation, enforcement, and property litigation matters and will have an interesting and varied caseload.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Civil Litigation experience is essential, preferably with experience of dealing with Housing Disrepair claims. Excellent communication skills are essential. You will be required to establish and maintain a good working relationship with client officers, staff, and elected members of Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council.

This is a full-time position, but part-time alternative options will be considered for the right candidate. We will consider candidates who do not meet all the requirements if they can demonstrate that they can bring value to the role.
