We have a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed, and professional Civilian Dental Practitioner (CDP) to join our Primary Health Care team here at dental centre Bulford, Det 3 Dental GP, Ward BKS, Bulford Camp, Salisbury, SP4 9AD.
This role is a permanent position offering 37 hours per week; requests to work part-time or job share will be considered, taking into account business needs, and the salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job A CDP is responsible for providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operational fitness of service personnel.
Within your contracted 37 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to non-clinical activities including practice meetings, training, and personal administration.
Overall, your aim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you are responsible.
Job responsibilities Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
Inspecting all personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and providing follow-up treatment as required.
Work collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interest of patients.
Ensuring that surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is always kept to a high standard.
Onward referral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, or consultants for treatment as appropriate.

Additional Information:

Registrations and Memberships
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Dental Council without conditions.
Experience
A background in military dentistry provision and primary dental care.
A valid United Kingdom driving license, this is to enable travelling to and working from other local regional dental centres if requested.
Evidence of currency with General Dental Council Continuous Professional Development requirements.
Being prepared to contribute to the development of staff skills and knowledge.
Confidence in utilising Information Technology.
Participate fully in the Civilian Dental Practitioners performance management and the Clinical Quality Assurance & Appraisal processes.
Be ready to cover On-Call out of hours duties as part of a regional team, if required.
Qualifications
To ensure patient safety, applicants are required to maintain evidence of clinical currency undertaking operative primary dental care, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
And either:
Have undertaken Foundation Dentist Training (or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the National Health Service).
OR Have evidence of adequate current clinical experience (either in the United Kingdom or abroad) to be able to practice independently.
