We are looking for an individual to join our Media and Entertainment Claims team. This is a role ideal for a high potential junior claims professional, looking to make their mark. The opportunity:

The Wholesale Claims Team operates from London, Singapore, and Australia, managing both company market and Lloyd's of London claims across Marine & Energy, PFR & Cyber, and Specialty divisions. With over $1.6 billion GWP and a goal to exceed $2 billion GWP by 2025, our award-winning team is highly regarded in the market. Within Wholesale Claims, the Professional & Financial Risks team handles diverse lines, including Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Management Liability, Transactional Liability, and

Media & Entertainment . What you'll be doing:

Managing claims with a focus on Media and Entertainment risks, including third party agreements and service providers, following Markel's claims philosophy and guidelines. Ensuring fast, honest, and personable communication with brokers and (re)insureds. Treat customers fairly and report any complaints immediately so that these can be addressed quickly. Advise any potential or actual conflicts of interest in accordance with our procedures. Significant Claims: Handle major claims per Markel's process and inform the manager of key points. Optimally use all Markel systems (including the reporting and data interrogation tools used for interpreting claims information) for the benefit of the Underwriters, Actuaries and daily management of the team's claims, clients and portfolios. Provide high quality commentary on relevant movements, highlighting significant notifications, claim trends or developments. To ensure that external experts, including Delegated Claims Administrators, are appropriately appointed, monitored and challenged. Maintain good relationships with underwriting, actuarial, and reinsurance teams, providing feedback on claims experiences. Build and manage relationships with key brokers, escalating feedback to enhance service to ensure we're offering a forward-thinking and value-adding claims service. Our must-haves:

The successful candidate will have: Some previous experience handling claims and ideally an understanding of the London insurance market. Demonstrate some understanding/interest of Media, Entertainment or Professional Indemnity risks. Demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills. Good IT (Microsoft Office) skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and ability to utilise or learn our in-house systems. Strong independent organisational skills. Who we are:
