here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Claims Legal and will have responsibility to ensure that delivery of the TMK Claims service is carried out in a way that fully meets customer expectations both through direct claims handling and that provided by service suppliers. The role responsibilities include: Assisting Head of Claims Legal with referrals of issues arising in complex claims, litigations of same, and in providing legal advice to the claims team and the wider business, if necessary. Acting as a central referral point to a large claims team on complex claims and litigation issues that may arise. Delivery, through personal ownership and via the team, of a first-class service to all customers brokers, coverholders and internal stakeholders. Ensuring fair customer outcomes & commerciality when decision making in line with the TMK values. To have a clear understanding of the company's risk appetites in terms of delegated authority, conduct, and financial crime. The successful candidate will be legally qualified in Australia, Canada, England & Wales, US, or an EU jurisdiction and will have detailed knowledge of London Market insurance products, across multiple lines of business (e.g., casualty/liability, property, cyber, marine, aviation). Candidates with extensive post-qualification experience are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to undertake this role. We are looking for someone that is proactive in identifying key risks, and legal developments that might impact the claims team or wider business, and then educating and mentoring claims team members on those issues as they arise.
