The position of Class 1 Tramper involves:
Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps. Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads. Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork. Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations. This will include nights away. Attending regular training sessions. Essential skills required for Class 1 Tramper:
Must hold a UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service. Working to deadlines. Confident, polite and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated. Why Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd?
Basic salary for Class 1 Tramper is £39,361pa. PLUS up to £4,800pa Tax Free night out allowance. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, start time between 06:00hrs and 07:00hrs.
Enhanced rates available for working weekends. £70 every 5 years for HGV Medical. Attendance for CPC paid.
