Class Teacher

to join their team. This role involves teaching a small class of students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning disabilities. Develop and implement

Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

in collaboration with the SENCo, therapists, and parents. Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive learning experiences and personal growth. Use a variety of teaching techniques and resources to engage students and cater to diverse learning styles. Monitor, assess, and record student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential. Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide a holistic learning experience for students. Foster strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining open communication to support student development. Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff training, and development sessions to stay informed of best practices in SEN education. Contribute to the school’s ethos of inclusion, positivity, and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching students with SEN, ideally within a specialist school or similar setting. Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, behavior management techniques, and inclusive education practices. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and empathy to support students with diverse needs and abilities.
